Doug Jackson

Doug is principal of  LMRA, Weaverville, NC, which provides consulting services in the form of market research and niche marketing to its clients based on many years of diverse experience in sales/marketing and strategic planning through custom and multi-client studies in the fields of industrial high performance fibers/textiles. Custom studies have been conducted in areas including textile, industrial, and high performance fibers/materials, rope and cordage, coated/laminated fabrics, decorative fabrics, protective clothing materials/fabrics/markets, flame retardant textiles and membranes.

Doug Jackson is a graduate of Auburn University with a BS in mechanical engineering.  After graduation he joined American Enka, a former synthetic fiber company that was part of Akzo NV, where his tenure included various technical positions, plant startups, sales, marketing, strategic planning, market research, and management.  He later joined Akzo America and served as director of strategic planning for a number of years.  In 1986 he along with two other principals formed the international market research firm LMRA.  Doug is a member of various textile and fiber related organizations and is a frequent speaker at university seminars and international conventions on the subjects of high performance fibers/markets, niche marketing and protective clothing. 

Doug and Bill have collaborated on several projects for clients.
