Academic background in textile engineering (B.S.), chemistry (M.S. and Ph.D.) and business (MBA).

Jim had senior management career with Springs and Milliken. In addition to his work with ITA, Jim also taught chemistry at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and worked with USC on government grants on studies related to fiber forensics. He also was building a carbon fiber business with Pharr Yarns.

• Office panel (acoustical) fabrics
• Automotive
• Home fashions (sheeting, spreads, drapes, comforters, accessories, etc.)
• Industrial fabrics (printers blankets, abrasive substrates, ballistic fabrics, circuit ? board reinforcement, glass reinforcement, composites, carbon reinforced composites, coating substrates, concrete reinforcement, etc.)

While with industry, Jim developed and obtained patents for a number of fire safety fabrics (FIREGARD, FIREWARE, Nomex, Kevlar, FR cotton, etc.), and was considered an industry expert in the field of FR fabrics and materials..

Jim was principal of Jim Hendrix Associates, Pacolet, SC. He became associated with Industrial Textile Associates, May, 2001. Bill and Jim worked together on several projects for some of the industry's leading companies.
