Dr. Dong Zhang was formerly research professor at TANDEC, University of Tennessee’s nonwovens research facility. He has extensive hands-on experience in management of industrially funded R&D projects on nonwovens including advanced meltblown and spunbond processes. He chaired the International TANDEC Nonwovens Conference for five years.
Dr. Zhang has strong background in textiles and nonwovens, polymer engineering, industrial textiles and material engineering, process-product-specification relationship and process optimization. He has excellent skills on statistical data analysis and computer operation. He has over 80 technical publications and 3 US patents on nonwovens, mainly on meltblown and spunbond processes.
Dr. Zhang currently serves as Managing Editor of the Journal of Industrial Textiles (Sage). He is fluent in the Mandarin language. He resides with his family in Clarksville, TN.
